Our Story

The question of why or why not plant a church in Elizabeth City could be answered in many ways . For us our why has a name. It is the name of a college freshman. Looking for a church home while at school. She wants to grow in her walk rather than be one of the 705 that walk away. It's the name of a guy who walked away from Faith because of treatment from at the hands of past church members. It is the name of a guy who was angry with God over the passing of his mothe when he was 17, who coped by turning to drugs and alcohol. It is the name of single mothers and children from broken homes. It is the name of the homeless who inhabit the streets  and the students from all over the world who inhabit local campuses.

These people have a name but desperately need to hear about the name of the One who can change everything. They need redemption in their lives. redemption has a name. His name is Jesus.
